Warwickshire Police arrested 12 suspected drink or drug drivers between Friday 22 October and Monday 25 October 2021 including:-

• A 58 year old lorry driver from the Czech Republic on suspicion of drink driving at 01.25hours on Monday 25 October at the #M6 Corley Services North bound lorry park.  Officers were conducting a routine mobile patrol of the lorry park when they saw a collision had occurred involving two HGVs.  One of the drivers provided a positive breath test at the roadside and was arrested.
  
  
• A 22 year old woman from Gun Hill in Coventry at 02.55hours on Monday 25 October on suspicion of drink driving after officers were called to a road traffic collision on Tamworth Road, Corley.
  
  
• A 21 year old woman from Warwick at 23.37hours on Sunday 24 October in Trinity Street, Leamington Spa on suspicion of careless driving and drink driving after the vehicle she was driving was stopped and she was breathalysed at the roadside.
  
  
• A 47 year old man from Rugby was arrested at 2030 hours on Saturday 23 October in Russell Hind Way, Rugby on suspicion of drink driving when officers spotted him allegedly driving the wrong way around a roundabout.
  
  
• A 33 year old man from Willenhall, West Midlands was arrested at 00.20hours on Saturday 24 October on suspicion of drink/drug driving when the public called the police reporting a man had crashed a car on the A46 roundabout at Walsgrave.
  
  
• A 29 year old man from Stratford upon Avon was arrested at 23.05hours on 23 October on suspicion of drink/drug driving when police were called to a collision on Birmingham Road, Stratford upon Avon.  The driver was identified following CCTV enquiries and arrested.
  
  
• A 38 year old man from Cubbington was arrested at 18.55hours on 23 October on suspicion of ‘driving – in charge – excess alcohol’ when CCTV operators observed him getting behind the wheel and alerted officers who arrived to find him asleep in the driver’s seat.
  
  
• A 24 year old woman from Solihull was arrested at 00.40hours on Saturday 23 October on suspicion of drink driving when she pulled out directly in front of a police vehicle from a pub on the A3400, Hockley Heath.
  
  
• A 22 year old man from Stratford Upon Avon on suspicion of drink driving at 04.25 on Saturday 23 October in Albany Road, Stratford Upon Avon when CCTV operators spotted him driving and alerted police who stopped the vehicle he was in.
  
  
• A 21 year old man from Stratford Upon Avon was also arrested at around the same time (04.16hours) from the same vehicle on suspicion of drink driving, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
