E-Call

E-call button in car

This is the emergency SOS button located near to the internal light, since April 2018, most cars and vans have been fitted with E-call as standard. When you press this button it automatically connects to the emergency services .

If the vehicle equipped with E call is involved in a collision and air bags are deployed, the system will alert emergency services and give coordinates of the collision in case the occupants of the vehicle are unable to do so. It could reduce the time it takes for the police, fire service or ambulance to respond and arrive at your exact location. This gets you quicker help if you or others have suffered a serious injury.
