Overview 

Unnecessary roadside furniture can create a hazard and contribute to collisions and the severity of injuries. This is why Warwickshire County Council adheres to the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) and the Traffic Signs Manual. This gives advice to traffic authorities and their agents on the correct use of mandatory signs and road markings.

If a collision results in a fatality, a member of Warwickshire County Council’s Road Safety Engineering team will attend the scene with a Police Traffic Management Advisor to carry out a road safety audit to determine whether any highway defects may have contributed to the collision.
