Child Car Seat Safety

Child Car Safety-2 (1)

Child Seat Safety

Every parent and carer want to keep their child safe, especially when they are travelling in a vehicle.

The law states children must use a car seat until they are 12 years old or 135 centimetres tall, whichever comes first. Children over 12 or more than 135cm in height must wear a seat belt.

Partners organise free child car seat safety checks at accessible venues across the county. Road Safety experts check that car seats are suitable for the vehicle, that they are fitted correctly and are appropriate for the age and weight of the child.
