BikeSafe is a professional course run by Warwickshire Police to help riders become safer and more confident on our roads. The aim is to raise awareness of the importance of progressing on to accredited post-test training. The training offers riders the opportunity to be observed by police-graded riders and receive individual feedback on their skills and riding behaviour.

Warwickshire Police are the regional coordinators of the course, which covers rider attitude, systematic methods, collision causation, positioning, overtaking, observation, hazard perception, and much more.

Biker Down!

Biker Down! is a course that helps riders gain the skills and confidence to be the first person on the scene at a road traffic collision involving a fellow biker.

 

Biker Down! is a FREE course run by Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service with support from Warwickshire Police, for bikers and includes three modules:

  • Incident scene management and personal safety for a biker arriving at the scene of a collision involving a fellow biker.
  • Casualty care training delivered by qualified life support instructors with motorcycle first aid specific expertise, covering trauma and mechanism of injury, basic life support and much more.
  • The science of being seen with advice on ‘motion camouflage’ and ‘looming’, as well as tips on what you can do to be seen by other road users.
