Efforts to reduce death and serious injury on the roads of Warwickshire have received another national accolade – the third in the last two months – at a special parliamentary reception in Westminster.
Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership is displaying a memorial tree at Shire Hall this festive season to remember the lives lost and injured on Warwickshire’s roads.
Officers have had a busy few days over the weekend of Friday 8 to Monday 11 December arresting drivers they believe are choosing to drink alcohol or take illegal drugs and drive on Warwickshire’s roads.

Officers detected a total of 107 offences during the latest Operation Tramline on the M40 and M42 in Warwickshire between 6 and 9 November 2023.
Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership (WRSP) has been awarded The British Horse Society (BHS) Tarquin Trophy for excellent service by an organisation or business in the cause of equestrian safety.
This is because it is currently illegal to ride a privately owned escooter in any public place in Warwickshire and there are serious implications for young people, who break the law by using one, as well as their parents.
The service will take place at St Mary’s Church in Warwick at 3pm on Sunday 19 November – the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims #WDOR2023.
