As the days get shorter as we approach Christmas, and there are less daylight hours, Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership is asking drivers to be extra vigilant for pedestrians using the roads. This is even more important in rural areas, where there may be no street lights or pavements.

Today, 28 October, marks the start of a national road safety campaign highlighting motorists’ legal obligation to ensure their vision is roadworthy every time they get behind the wheel.

As winter approaches Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership is reminding drivers that now is a great time to book your vehicle in to a garage for a free winter safety check to help avoid unnecessary breakdowns and to keep you and your passengers as safe as possible on the road.

A terminally ill mum is calling on road users to be more considerate of mobility scooters, highlighting the growing daily difficulties she faces while trying to get around.
