We have arrested the first drink driver of the New Year.

There’s no excuse for drink or drug driving this Christmas as officers increase their enforcement activity across Warwickshire in the run up to Christmas and into the New Year.

On the first day of BRAKE Road Safety Week, an emotional service on the World Day of Remembrance for road traffic victims on 17 November really brought home how important it is to reduce death and injury on our roads.

New hotspots data has uncovered the worst offending areas for uninsured driving across the UK, with 3 postal regions of Nuneaton and Bedworth now leading the pack within the Warwickshire Police region.

Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership is inviting the public of all faiths to a special service to remember those whose lives have been lost or injured on Warwickshire’s roads. The service will take place at The Old Shire Hall in Warwick at 11am on Sunday 17 November – the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims #WDOR2024.

We are reminding drivers to ALWAYS pass horses wide and slow to help improve the safety of the many adults, children and young people who ride, carriage drive or lead horses on the road.
