Warwickshire Police officers stopped a total of 39 drivers between 22-28 August on suspicion of drink or drug driving during just one week of a national anti drink and drug driving campaign.

Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership has distributed over 45,000 FREE road safety magazines to schools, colleges, GP surgeries, leisure centres, cycle shops, opticians and motorcycle retailers across Warwickshire.

Police are warning drivers not to risk drinking or taking drugs and driving as there is a high chance you will be arrested as part of a national campaign that aims to reduce death and serious injury on our roads.

Five drivers were arrested on suspicion of drink driving over the weekend of Friday 12 August to Sunday 14 August as the summer anti drink drug driving campaign gets underway.
